- Download - EBIXASP has one of the most robust download programs in the industry. It can accept and process download files from any carrier utilizing AL3 or XML formats without having to go through a formal certification process.. It will also update carrier specific coverages "on the fly" so the user or EBIX does not have to intervene. Missing data in download file? Not a problem! The system will process what it can and then prompt user for the missing data elements and then completes that portion automatically. No waiting for a resend from carrier. Automatic invoicing to create the accounting record is also now available for New Business, Renewals, Changes, etc. when premium changes are indicated in the download file. Representatives from Progressive and Safeco had the opportunity to see how download operates within EBIXASP at the user conference in Providence last fall and were impressed and complimentary with its features.
- Multiple General Ledgers - EBIXASP has the ability to maintain multiple general ledgers, each with their own fiscal periods. Multiple legal entities may be attached to the same general ledger or each entity may have its own.
- Client Level and Multiple Policy Invoicing - Many businesses are branching out into services unrelated to a particular risk they may insure for a client. These may include financial, loss control or other services. EBIXASP allows invoices to be produced at the client level with relating to a particular policy and allows disbursements to various expense accounts at that time. When you DO have the need to invoice a client regarding risks you may insure for them, you are able to combine all policies onto one invoice no matter the effective date of the item related to the policy.
