New Releases - ebixONE

ebixONE has had an amazing year so far. 237 problems were corrected on an average of 1 patch release a month with an average of 18 problems resolved per month. Along with these corrections were many enhancements.

Enhancements

  • WordMerge for Office XP Certified. New document manager programs to interface between ebixONE and Microsoft Office.
  • Windows XP Pro Certified with ebixONE.
    • Customer and Policy Information Lookup screens re-written to incorporate new PowerFlex Window enhancements.
  • Customer and Policy Information screens have been re-designed to include Tab controls, Toolbar control, Status bar and Menu access.
  • Create PDF option has been added to the Print Setup dialog box that will enable users to convert PCL files to PDF.
  • Email added to the Customer Information screen.
  • A new menu item, "Activities" is now available on both, policy and customer information screens, eliminating the need to go back to the lobby to launch any Activities functions while the users are on the policy or customer information screens.
  • Expanded e-mail field for Contacts to hold up to 55 characters.
  • Single-click access to Risks/Coverages from Lobby. A new push button, "Risks/Coverages" has been added to the customer lobby. Pressing this button will allow all the risks, coverages, drivers (if applicable), and locations (if applicable) to be viewed all at once for Personal Auto, Business Auto and Homeowners policies. Also, a new drop-down menu item "Risks and Coverages" has been added to the "Policy" menu. This enhancement now enables the users to view all this information with a single click from the lobby.
  • The coverage lister screens for Personal Auto, Business Auto and Homeowners have been re-designed to display all the risks, coverages, drivers (Auto only) and locations (Homeowners only) that are assigned to the highlighted policy within one screen.
  • E-mail capability has been integrated into the Memos program. It is now possible to edit/create a memo and automatically e-mail it by a simple click. The contents of the memo's body, along with the recipients address and the Subject will be pre-filled in the Outlook dialog box. In addition, a new item, "e-mail" will be added to the tran log. Works with Outlook or Outlook Express.
  • Support for downloading "Family-format" names.
  • Focus on the policy last accessed from the Lobby. After accessing a policy from the Lobby, upon return to the Lobby, the policy tab will have the policy highlighted that was last accessed.
  • New functionality for the E-mail icon on the toolbar. The E-mail toolbar icon on the Lobby, Insured and Policy Information and Customer Service windows now allows users to enter a memo and subsequently e-mail to the recipient. (The address is obtained from the Customer file and pre-filled in the Outlook dialog box along with the message body.)
  • New toolbar and push buttons on Auto and Home Coverage screens.
  • New menu items on Auto/Home Coverage screens.
  • A new column, "Opt" has been added to the Personal Auto coverages display.
  • Faster access to individual items on the Listview window. Both the Vehicles and Homeowners Listview windows have been re-designed to display all the items at once without having to page up or page down, similar to the policy tab on the Lobby. Also, any individual item can be highlighted for selection by simply entering the number of the item (such as Vehicle number). This eliminates the need for the "Start With" window that used to be on the old screens.
  • Focus stays on the item last accessed. Upon returning from "Add/Edit Coverages", the focus will now stay on the item that was last accessed. This is also true when a new Vehicle or Dwelling Unit is created by means of the "New" button; in this case, the newly-created item will have the focus.
  • New Lobby screens for Brokers, Outside Insured, Prospect and Vendor, similar to the changes that were made to the Lobby Customer screen. We have also added the ability to enter E-mail addresses.
  • New E-mail fields added to all options in Memos -- Producer, Cert Holders, Providers, Companies and Address Book. The Producer, Certificate Holder, Providers, Company and Address Book entry programs have been modified to include e-mail addresses.
  • Policy Change Request with E-mail capability. It will now be possible to e-mail endorsement requests to companies, insureds, or both when creating Policy Change Requests from within ebixONE. A new "E-Mail" button has been added to the "Endorsement Request" dialog box.
  • Ability to have PDF files as image attachments. Added functionality to allow PDF files to be attached as images for the Customer, Policy, System User, and Producer using standard image import / attach process.
  • The ability to attach items in ebixONE has just gotten easier. Various Attachment related programs have been enhanced and created to simplify the attachment process. Any file, not just graphical images or PDF files, can now be attached to ebixONE at the Customer, Policy, and Claims level. Attachments are viewed by the end-users default Windows viewer and no longer requires configuration on the ebixserver. Windows XP is now fully supported for viewing images. Attachments can be emailed. A new tab, Attachments, on the Customer Lobby has been added to view Customer level attachments.   • Lightpaper 1.9.9 and 1.9.9a Upgrades from 1.9.6. In addition of the numerous enhancements that PaperFree include with Lightpaper 1.9.9, ebix.com integrated and added the following forms and Lines of Business:
