Since our January 16, 2006 launch we have realized a substantial reduction in costs associated with processing more that 6000 new business and renewal policies as well as several thousand change endorsements annually. Download allows us to receive and quality check new business and renewal policies electronically in 5 to 10 seconds per policy, compared to several minutes previously. Likewise we are able to process endorsements and automatically update our system with the new information, completely eliminating duplication of data entry.

In short, our partnership with Ebix has simultaneously reduced our processing costs, enhanced our quality control, and improved service to our customers. Implementation with Ebix was very easy and they provided excellent support when needed. In the roughly 90 days since our launch we have already recouped our investment several times over.

The biggest benefit to EbixASP is dependability. In the past, our agency’s automation was piecemealed, using a different program based on the type of item that needed to be processed. All that time we were spending opening and closing programs and doing backups and support has been taken away. EbixASP has saved us from the responsibility of system maintenance and data management.

As we become more fluent in EbixASP, we are seeing more efficiency. In our old system, we were forced to save letters to our desktop and email them under a separate cover to our clients or print them out and fax manually. In EbixASP, we can send an email or fax directly through the system. We are also downloading with all of our top personal lines carriers. This is so effortless. It’s completed after a couple of clicks with the mouse.

How is EbixASP increasing your agency's efficiency and productivity?

We are a 4-person office that has no office. 3 of us works from home and 1 from another office. We are able to be completely paperless thanks to Ebix ASP. We don’t have paper files, whatever we need to keep, we just upload to ASP, that way, any of us can retrieve with a couple of clicks. It’s so easy! We can operate as if we are in the same office, even if we are miles away from each other.
This would not be possible without an internet based system since none of us has any room at home for servers, not to mention the time to maintain them. It is so nice to wake up on a Monday morning and all your updates have been done for you, you just get to see the list of all the exciting changes that have been made while you sleep.
