From documents to a reviewed agenda

The review began with scattered information

An independent adviser prepared for a household review using intake information, statements and notes from earlier meetings. Before setting the agenda, the adviser needed to establish which records were current and which questions remained unanswered.

Assembling the picture competed with the time available to think about the client’s priorities. The preparation process needed to preserve uncertainty as well as organize the available facts.

AI helped prepare the working record

The team used Meridian’s capabilities for conversational intake, document intelligence, Portfolio Lens analysis and meeting preparation. Information from documents supported a working set of observations and questions for adviser review.

The adviser checked those observations against the underlying material. The output became a draft agenda rather than an automatically accepted set of recommendations.

Gaps became questions for the meeting

The review included documents of different ages and a possible duplicate holding. The adviser clarified what could be combined and retained the unresolved point for discussion with the client. Missing information was not replaced by an assumption.

Potential next steps received the same scrutiny. The adviser considered the household’s circumstances and objectives before deciding which topics belonged in the conversation. A prompt directed attention; it did not establish suitability.

Preparation served the conversation

The process ended with a reviewed agenda, supporting information and an explicit list of questions. That gave the meeting a clear starting point while leaving the adviser responsible for interpretation and judgement.

The value lay in the organization of the preparation work. Information gathering supported a considered client conversation, with the adviser retaining responsibility for interpreting the records and deciding what to discuss.

THE PRACTICAL POINT

Let AI help assemble the picture; keep the adviser responsible for the judgement.
