Ebix Solution implemented — ExposureHub
Seven underwriting businesses. One view of exposure.
A specialty insurance business expanded exposure management across seven classes through a phased rollout.
Anonymized account of an ExposureHub implementation first live in December 2022 and described publicly in 2024. No percentage saving is reported.

Growth made reporting harder
A growing specialty underwriting business needed to expand its exposure management capability while meeting reporting obligations to carrier partners. Manual data preparation risked turning each reporting cycle into a substantial exercise. Different underwriting teams also had different requirements.
One business line first
The project brought together a core team and approximately 25 exposure stakeholders. Workshops covered seven underwriting teams. Rather than launch every class at once, the business started with direct and facultative property. The first implementation became a template for subsequent lines.
Requirements were separated into those needed at launch, those for the following three months and longer-term needs. The first go-live took place in December 2022. The published account describes ExposureHub operating across all seven classes, making data available through the wider process and supporting more automated reporting.
The result was a way to keep expanding
The story describes a platform that could accommodate additional underwriting teams and give decision-makers a connected source of exposure information. It does not report a precise reduction in reporting hours or catastrophe losses. Those should not be inferred from the rollout.
The operational lesson is more useful than a generic speed claim. A repeatable template reduces the need to reopen every design decision when another team joins. It also makes differences explicit: a new class can keep the controls it needs without creating an entirely separate reporting operation.
Where a prospect should look first
Before an exposure project, take one recurring carrier report and trace every input back to its owner. Identify which changes reflect genuine differences in the business and which exist because teams maintain separate spreadsheets.
A phased rollout can then test data ownership, reporting definitions and exception handling with a manageable group. Expanding the platform becomes a deliberate operating decision, supported by what the first team has learned.
Scale the operating model as carefully as the software.
